Mailing lists are a service which sends you information via e-mail. To receive a mailing list, you subscribe to it, much as you subscribe to a magazine. Messages sent to that mailing list are then delivered to your e-mail address. To stop receiving a mailing list, you have to unsubscribe from it. Mailing lists will send you information on how to do this when you subscribe. All mailing lists listed in this directory are free of charge. The mailing lists hosted at this site are designed to provide information that the U.S. Coast Guard feels is of interest to those subscribing. This service is being provided as a complement to the other means of communication the U.S. Coast Guard provides to the public such as information posted on Internet sites and periodic newsletters to name a few. To view the groupings of lists by their content please click here, or click the 'Groups hosted on this site' link below.
